About Prospect Researchers of Eastern Pennsylvania

Prospect Researchers of Eastern Pennsylvania/APRA (PREP/APRA) is the Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Chapter of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), an international membership organization that "serves and educates fund-raising professionals interested in advancement research and promotes the profession of advancement research." APRA International has about 30 Regional Chapters across the United States, serving over 2,000 members in the U.S. and elsewhere.

The PREP/APRA Chapter currently serves approximately 100 active members and serves the Eastern Pennsylvania area.

The name PREP/APRA was carefully chosen to combine the name Prospect Researchers of Eastern Pennsylvania (PREP), which was an independent prospect researchers networking group from 1991 to 1999, with APRA to reflect the Chapter's affiliation with APRA.

PREP/APRA supports the international organization's mission at the regional level by offering members and non-members regular professional development and networking events in their local area. PREP/APRA offers many opportunities for members to build professional skills by presenting at conferences, writing for chapter publications, taking on leadership roles in the organization, etc. PREP/APRA members are encouraged, but are not required, to join APRA International.

MISSION
The mission of PREP/APRA is to educate, to foster professional development and career growth, and to promote standards of excellence within the field of prospect research.
